About me
I was raised in Orkney and island life has stayed with me through everything that I have ended up doing. I always loved drawing as a child and creating my own magazines with the plan of being a journalist or go to art school. However, at 15 I developed a fascination with nature and the knuts and bolts of the human body which led me to study biology and then paramedic practice.
As a paramedic, I worked in Oxfordshire before moving back to Scotland and working on Skye before moving to Fife to work in primary care and complete my prescribing qualification.
I then became interested in education and I currently work as a lecturer in paramedic science where interest in my drawings has grown and I have been able to combine my two passions.
